FAQs

Yes, absolutely! All our products are free from animal products and animal bi-products. We’re also proudly certified by the Vegan Society.

No. All of our products are gluten free, and endorsed by Coeliac Australia.

All of them! That’s right, all of them. We use no dairy ingredients in our chocolate or any other product. Happy shopping! We’ve taken the liberty to point you to this masterpiece – Fig & Wild Orange – to get you started.

We strongly believe that delicious, wholesome foods can and should be enjoyed in moderation. We use natural sugars in our products, including organic coconut sugar, organic raw sugar, maple syrup and coconut nectar. You can find the ingredients and nutrition information for each product on the packaging, our on our range page.

Some of our products do contain tree nuts and seeds, and these will always be listed in the ingredients. Whilst many of our products do not contain nuts as an ingredient, they may be made in a facility that handles nuts, so we ensure we label all potential allergens for you to make an informed decision.

You can also check out our individual product pages for all ingredient lists and allergens and choose which ones are suitable for you.

There is a small, but insignificant amount of caffeine that occurs naturally in cacao. It also contains Theobromine, a stimulant similar, but gentler than caffeine. Theobromine has mood boosting properties but you won’t have to worry about feeling nervous or jittery like old mate caffeine.

Proudly no. All our products are 100% natural with no genetically modified ingredients.

We know this looks a little strange, but it’s just some of the fat rising and separating. We don’t use preservatives or stabilisers, so during cooler months, the spreads can sometimes warm and cool again. As a result, tiny particles of the natural fats can separate and appear as little white spots. We recommend placing the jar in a shallow bowl of warm water and letting it sit for a few minutes. Once it’s warmed slightly, give it a stir, and you’ll be ready to enjoy that delicious spread.

Products. Ingredients. How we make it.

We truly care about where our food comes from and are committed to using the best quality ingredients mother nature can provide. Some of our ingredients are not available locally in the quantities we require from Organic producers, so we have to look further afield. Where possible thought, we love to work with local suppliers. For example, our new Tasman Sea Salt Mylk chocolate is made with natural sea salt from the pristine waters of Tasmania.

We’re proudly Australian made and owned. Our founder, Pana Barbounis, is still involved in everything we do. Our 45g chocolate is still made and wrapped by hand in our Melbourne kitchen, so you can taste the love in every bite.

Since the very beginning, sustainability has been at the heart of Pana Organic. Our philosophy of “Love your insides. Love the earth” is about creating nourishing, plant-based, organic products whilst respecting our planet.

Our chocolate boxes are made from 100% recycled materials, and are fully recyclable. Our spreads jars, frozen dessert tubs and drink blend cannisters are all recyclable, while other elements of our packaging can be returned to your local soft plastics collection point. We want to make it as easy as possible for you, so head to our product pages for specific information, and make sure you’re following us on social for some great upcycling ideas!

We’re continuously looking at improvements across our packaging that enable the product to retain its flavour and texture quality whilst being true to the environment. We greatly welcome suggestions of materials from anywhere around the world to assist us in this process.

Your shipped online orders should be fine, as long as it’s not too hot at your destination. Chocolate and the sun, whilst two of most people’s favourite things, don’t really mix. If it’s hot where you are we suggest you mail your parcel to a location where someone will be present. If your chocolate should arrive soft, leave it in the freezer for an hour or so. It will taste just as good, but might not look as pretty. As our chocolate is heat-sensitive, we will manage the heat exposure as much as possible, but can’t guarantee product integrity on arrival in warmer climates.

Oh cacao. We’re sorry to hear that. Please send us your details via Contact Us or call our Customer Service team on +61 1300 717 488 from Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm AEST.

We do not currently offer a gift wrap service. We can add a personalized message to anything you purchase, so just complete in the check out process and we’ll put pen to paper. We respond to funny messages with office clapping and laughter, and messages of love with collective ‘awws’.

Absolutely. You can find our online gift vouchers here. All you need to decide is how much they are worth it.

Our Stores.

Our Sydney, Australia and Tokyo, Japan stores offer a range of retail items including our 45g bars and gift packs. We also offer unique and exclusive items throughout the year. Our Melbourne, Australia store is now closed and we no longer create raw cakes and specialty dessert items for retail in any of our stores. However, we do share recipes and inspirational desserts ideas through our Journal or social media channels, so make sure you’re following us on InstagramFacebook or Twitter.

Storage. Care Instructions.

We want you to have the best possible experience with your Pana Organic products, so have specific storage instructions on the packaging for each of our products.

Our chocolate is free of preservatives and can be sensitive to heat, so we recommend storing it below 18°C degrees. Cacao butter has a very low melting point, so your chocolate will become soft if it gets hot. The refrigerator is a safe place for your treats as the quality and texture will not be affected. Just be sure to keep it away from any strong odours and let your chocolate sit at room temperature for a couple of minutes to soften ever so slightly.

We pride ourselves on making quality products, and take all issues relating to this very seriously. If your purchased product doesn’t taste right, or tastes different to how it usually does, please email us at info@pana-organic.com with the name of the product, the retail store it was purchased from, as well as a picture of the best before date and/or the product. Our quality team will use this information to investigate further and ensure we resolve the issue in the best possible way for you.

All of our packaged products have a best before date, and we recommend devouring them before that date to get the full delicious flavour experience. Best before dates are found on the packaging.

Wholesale. Bulk. Custom.

We sure do! We’d love to have you on board. We’re proud to be stocked at some of the best health food shops, cafes, delis, hotels, department stores, supermarkets and food purveyors around the world. Send us your details via our Contact Us page and our team will be in contact as soon as possible.
